PERTEX

PERTEX

The microfibre nylon yarns of the PERTEX fabric are woven into an ultra-light windproof and water repellent fabric. The fine weave construction allows moisture to pass through the thousands of pores making it an ideal fabric to use as a lining or an outer fabric on many outdoor activity garments.

Independant tests prove PERTEX to be more highly breathable than any similar fabric available. It is not intended to be waterproof, but is proofed to repel water to the rate of 12mm per hour. It will keep the wearer warm even when the garment is wet, as long as the wearer keeps active thus keeping the body temperature from dropping.

AQUATEC

AQUATEC

AQUATEC is a tough, durable and non-porous direct coated hydrophilic, breathable polyurethane. The AQUATEC technology ensures wearer comfort by keeping out wind, rain and snow whilst allowing perspiration to escape.
The fabric is thought to be more breathable than any other conventional waterproof fabric, preventing a build up of condensation in all weather conditions. Thus, the insulating quality of your thermal layers is preserved, keeping you warm and dry.

MICROLITE

MICROLITE

This British coated fabric has a Microporous coating with holes small enough to allow moisture vapour out but not allow rain in therefore making it breathable, waterproof, windproof and durable.

This type of hyprophillic polymer coating is 50 times more effective in MVT (moisture vapour transmition) than conventional PU (polyurethane) coatings and also has good durability, strength and softness to touch.

It is amazingly light and packs into the smallest of spaces. An excellent fabric giving value for money.

FLEECE

Today’s fleece fabric is a high-tech, high performance product that is extremely warm, soft to the touch, light and flexible. The fabric is constructed in such a way as to allow the moisture to travel along the fibres away from the body.

The Polyester fibres are hydrophobic by nature, which means that they retain little water. They are first spun into a yarn which adds weight, then brushed to compact the fabric and to build air pockets for insulation. Fleece offers tremendous warmth in comparison to its weight.

It can be worn either as an outer garment or used as a mid layer under a shell garment.
